Job summary

Fife Council is seeking motivated individuals to provide compassionate care and support to service users in their own homes across the wider Fife area.

You will attend service user homes, build relationships with families and partner agencies, and help plan and deliver care while applying Health and Social Care Standards in practice. A PVG check and SSSC registration support are required within six months of starting.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate, and motivated with good values.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work with other Council services and partner agencies.
• Knowledge of the Health and Social Care Standards.
• Hold or be able to work towards SVQ Level 2 qualification within required time frames.
• Register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of employment and complete Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) during the registration period.
• Obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland before confirming appointment.

As part of our care at home teams in the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership Localities, you will support service users to maximise their independence and remain living in their own homes.

Working Pattern & Location

Contract Type: Permanent. Working Pattern: 4 days on 4 days off (35 hours per week 07:30 – 13:00, 17:00 – 21:30, 16:00 – 22:00, and 07:00 – 13:00). Relief positions also available. Location: Cowdenbeath.
