Job description

We're building a small, consistent care team in Hemel the kind of team where people stay, support one another, and genuinely get to know the customers they're supporting. Right now we're looking for part-time Support Workers who want meaningful, relationship-centred work with the option of building more hours as we grow.

What we offer:
  • £16 per hour (weekday & weekend flat rate)
  • Paid mileage (25p per mile between calls)
  • Additional HMRC mileage reclaim available
  • Bank Holiday & Christmas Day uplift (1.5x)
  • Full training, induction and shadowing
  • Uniform + PPE provided
  • 24/7 on-call support
  • Opportunities to build your hours over time
  • A small, supportive local team - no constant rota changes or endless faces
The role

Your visits will depend on each customer's needs, but may include:

  • Companionship and emotional support
  • Meal preparation
  • Medication prompting/administration
  • Washing, dressing and personal care
  • Light household tasks
  • Supporting people back to independence after hospital discharge

We prioritise continuity meaning you'll regularly see the same customers so relationships can build naturally and visits feel stable for everyone.

What we're looking for
  • A full driving licence + access to your own car (essential)
  • Someone calm, reliable, punctual and emotionally mature
  • Experience in care (preferred but not essential)
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys supporting older people
  • Able to work alternate weekends
  • A person who values dignity, respect and consistency
  • Someone who wants to grow with a small team rather than be "just another number"
