Job summary

ICare Group is seeking Home Care Assistants to support clients in their own homes across CH44 and CH45. You will help clients stay independent, maintain dignity and quality of life, and travel between clients across the local community.

Flexible hours are available, including mornings, evenings and weekends. Prior care experience is welcome but not essential as full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Have access to your own vehicle.
• Be able to travel throughout the CH44 and CH45 areas.
• Be willing to obtain Class 1 Business Insurance if not already in place.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Support with washing, dressing and daily routines.
• Assist with meal preparation and nutrition.
• Provide medication prompts as required by care plans.
• Carry out wellbeing and safety checks.
• Support with light household tasks to maintain a comfortable home.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Home Care Assistant, you'll support people in their own homes, helping them remain independent while maintaining their dignity, wellbeing and quality of life.

No two days are the same, but your role may include:

• Providing personal care with dignity, respect and compassion
• Supporting with washing, dressing and daily routines
• Assisting with meal preparation and nutrition
• Providing medication prompts and support in line with care plans
• Carrying out wellbeing and safety checks
• Supporting with light household tasks and maintaining a comfortable home environment

• Building positive and professional relationships with the people you support
• Promoting independence, choice and person-centred care
• Working as part of a supportive and dedicated care team
• Travelling between clients' homes across the local community
