Job summary

Zebra Technical Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Home-Based Mechanical Field Service Engineer for print, packaging and converting machinery. The role covers the UK-wide, with travel to the South and occasional Europe, and offers a base salary of £45,000–£55,000 plus overtime, door-to-door pay, and a company car.

The position includes full manufacturer and electrical training, a Monday-to-Friday schedule, hotels/meals covered while away, and the opportunity to work with top packaging brands across

Qualifications

• Field service experience on production machinery, ideally in print, packaging or converting.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable with overnight stays, averaging two weeks a month, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission new machinery, from off-loading through to customer handover.
• Fault-find and carry out emergency repairs and planned servicing.
• Apply software upgrades and train operators to get the best from their machines.
• Support customers across the UK, and occasionally in Europe.
