Job summary

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join a small specialist community team delivering orthopaedic rehabilitation in patients’ homes. You will manage a community caseload, deliver post‑operative rehab after hip and knee arthroplasty, and contribute to prehabilitation services.

The role offers multidisciplinary collaboration, supervision of support staff, and a patient‑centred care approach to help patients reach their rehabilitation goals in their own homes.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist is essential.
• Band 6 level with the ability to manage a community caseload independently.
• Full valid driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise own community caseload independently.
• Assess, plan and deliver specialist rehabilitation programmes for patients following elective hip and knee arthroplasty.
• Contribute to the delivery of prehabilitation services.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide supervision, support and appropriate delegation to therapy support staff.
• Promote patient-centred care and support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals within their home environment.
