Job summary

Junior Adventures Group in Andover is hiring a Holiday Club Playworker to support October half-term activities at St John the Baptist Primary School.

You will plan multi-sports, arts and crafts, supervise children, follow safeguarding, and keep records. The role is casual, Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:30pm, dates Oct 26–30 2026, with up to £12.71 per hour plus holiday pay. On-site parking available.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Documentation for vetting and suitability checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver activities including multi-sports, games, arts & crafts.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment.
• Support children from arrival through to collection.
• Follow safeguarding, health & safety and company procedures.
• Manage sign-in and sign-out procedures.
• Prepare refreshments while maintaining hygiene standards.
• Set up and pack away activities and spaces.
• Complete accident and incident documentation when required.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues and the school.
• Support positive behaviour and encourage participation.

Junior Adventures Group (JAG) is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Holiday Club Playworker / Activity Leader to join our team in Andover this October half-term.

You’ll help create a fun, safe and inclusive environment where children can enjoy their school holidays through games, sports, creative activities and plenty of adventures!

Whether you already have childcare experience or simply have a real passion for working with children, we’d love to hear from you!

As a JAG Playworker, you’ll help make every day exciting and memorable for the children in our care.

Your role will include:

• Planning and delivering fun activities including multi-sports, games, arts & crafts and structured play
• Creating a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment
• Supporting children throughout the day, from arrival through to collection
• Following safeguarding, health & safety and company procedures
• Managing sign-in and sign-out procedures
• Preparing and providing refreshments while maintaining good hygiene standards
• Setting up and packing away activities, play spaces and equipment
• Completing relevant accident and incident documentation when required
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues and the school
• Supporting positive behaviour and encouraging children to get involved and have fun
