Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated nurse to manage individuals with secondary mental health service needs while in prison custody, delivering needs-based, modern mental health care within the custodial setting.

The post holder will be expert in all areas of service delivery and will contribute to maintaining the CPA process throughout the legal and custodial pathway, ensuring effective communication and high-quality care for service users.

Job description

The post holder will manage individuals with secondary mental health service needs whilst they are in prison custody. This includes assisting in the delivery and development of effective, needs based, modern mental health services within the prison .

The post holder should be expert in all areas of service delivery, ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times.

The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the effective management of their own caseload and be expected to effectively utilise nursing skills and resources to provide high quality service to all service users. This role requires the post holder to contribute to maintaining the CPA process throughout the legal and custodial process.
