Salary: 90-110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you an experienced HLTA with a passion for supporting pupils with medical needs? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a forward-thinking school in the Kettering area that is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide tailored support for pupils with complex medical conditions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children who require specialist care alongside their education.

Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted support to students with medical needs, ensuring their health plans are followed effectively.

  • Work closely with school staff, external medical professionals, and families to coordinate care and learning.

  • Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions under the direction of the SENCO and teaching staff.

  • Support classroom teachers in adapting resources and strategies to ensure inclusivity.

  • Monitor and record student progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records.

Qualifications
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Experience supporting children with medical conditions in an educational setting.

  • A sound understanding of EHCPs and individual health care plans (IHCPs).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive, calm, and compassionate approach to supporting vulnerable learners.
