Job summary

A leading educational recruitment agency is looking for a qualified HLTA to work at a SEN school in Kirkham, UK. HLTA - SEN School

Location: Kirkham
Start Date: 5th January
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week
Pay: 110 - 144.89 per day

About the Role
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to class sizes of up to 10 pupils.

  • Work across the whole school, supporting learners from early years through to post-16.

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of complex learning, communication, sensory, and physical needs.

  • Support the class teacher in creating a positive, safe, and structured learning environment.

  • Promote engagement, independence, and holistic development.

  • Contribute to assessments, observations, and individual support planning.

About You
  • HLTA status or significant experience delivering lessons in specialist settings.

  • Experience working within SEN, particularly with SLD and/or PMLD pupils, is highly desirable.

  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build trusting, supportive relationships.

  • Compassionate, patient, resilient, and adaptable to varied needs and learning styles.
