We are seeking a SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. This farm-based role offers a unique learning environment that blends the outdoors, creativity, and sustainability.

Schedule
  • Monday 08:30-15:30
  • Tuesday 08:30-15:30
  • Friday 08:30-15:30

This role is part time with a view to increase to full time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with another staff member to plan and deliver personalized, engaging lessons tailored to the pupil's individual needs and learning goals.
  • Incorporate outdoor learning, nature, and sustainability into teaching, sparking curiosity and creativity.
  • Collaborate on hands‑on projects such as building bird boxes, gardening, and other nature‑inspired activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where the pupil can thrive.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to align with the pupil's SEN requirements and personal interests.
Requirements
  • NQT or Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or PGCE
  • Proven experience working with SEN pupils, including those with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
  • A passion for the outdoors, nature, and sustainability, and the ability to incorporate these themes into learning – essential
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for developing new ideas and engaging projects.
