Job description

The Supply Register are proud to be working in partnership with the St Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Academy Trust. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the team at St Joseph s RC Primary School, Ramsbottom to start ASAP on a part-time basis (Wednesday Friday).

This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by supporting high-quality teaching and learning in a welcoming and inclusive Catholic primary school environment. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide targeted support for pupils, and contribute to the school s caring ethos.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers in the planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities.
• Lead small group and one-to-one interventions to support pupil progress.
• Cover classes during teacher absence (for HLTA applicants).
• Support children with a range of needs, ensuring inclusion and access to learning.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to the Catholic ethos of the school.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent); HLTA status is advantageous.
• Has experience working within a primary school setting leading the classroom.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Is passionate about supporting children s education and wellbeing.
• Is flexible, proactive, and committed to the school s values.
