Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only

The Role

As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering learning activities to whole classes or groups of children in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Supporting the planning and preparation of lessons, as well as contributing to the assessment and tracking of pupil progress.
  • Working closely with teachers to support individual students or small groups, including those with additional needs, to ensure they make progress.
  • Providing pastoral care and supporting the social and emotional development of pupils.
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children.
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Has previous experience working in a primary or junior school setting.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the national curriculum and strategies to support pupil progress.
  • Is able to manage and support the learning of whole classes, groups, or individuals.
  • Has excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Is passionate about children's learning and committed to their personal development.
