Job summary

A welcoming primary school in Lambeth is seeking an enthusiastic HLTA to join after October half term, starting 2 November. You will deliver planned lessons across KS1 and KS2, provide classroom cover, and support pupils in the SEMH unit, working with teachers to ensure engaging, structured learning.

The role includes supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, using positive behaviour strategies. Typical hours are 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH is highly desirable.
• Ideal HLTA status or equivalent Level 4 qualification.
• Experience delivering cover across KS1 and KS2.

Responsibilities

The role will involve supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, implementing positive behaviour strategies and helping to maintain a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.Alongside the core HLTA responsibilities, there will be an opportunity to take on additional responsibilities within the school.
