Job summary

Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specialising in HIV to lead our Nurse Practitioner team within the HIV service at Dean Street, London.

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will manage a defined caseload of complex HIV patients, develop educational programmes for the nursing team, and drive clinical governance, quality improvement and service development across the Directorate.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse.
• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification or MSc/Masters in a relevant field.
• Qualifications in HIV (ENB 934 or similar) or a recognised HIV course.
• Non-Medical Prescribing course.
• Evidence of recent, relevant professional development at accredited level.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of HIV patients with highly complex needs and follow-up.
• Assess and interpret complex clinical information; diagnose and plan care including prescribing or referring as needed.
• Develop a specialist HIV service interest; write guidelines and provide education.
• Identify education needs across the multi-professional team and external to the Trust; implement education programmes.
• Directly line manage the Nurse Practitioner Team and oversee HR aspects.
