Job summary

Hemiko are recruiting for a HIU service and repair engineer reporting to the Technical Manager. You will deliver operation and maintenance services across our heat networks, servicing HIUs from various manufacturers and fault finding as part of a proactive, flexible team.

The role emphasizes safe practices, autonomous field work, and continuous development within a friendly, fast-growing company focused on decarbonisation of heating systems.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing HIUs from various manufacturers.
• Knowledge of heat network energy centers and plant rooms.
• Electrical competency (basic).
• Full UK driving licence (valid for at least 12 months).
• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or Domestic gas is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direct supervision of the Technical Manager.
• Regularly work autonomously to service HIUs.
• Carry out basic parts replacement and attend breakdowns.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance per schedule.
• Attend reactive callouts to reinstate heat and resolve HIU failures.
• Ensure accurate site records and clear online work orders.
