Job summary

Choice Teachers is recruiting a History Teacher for a long-term maternity cover in Lancaster. The role is full-time, starting after the October half-term and running for the rest of the academic year. You will teach History to KS3/KS4, plan engaging lessons and monitor pupil progress.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS (ECTs welcome) and be able to deliver well-structured lessons with good classroom management, supporting safeguarding and inclusion during this period.

Qualifications

• Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• ECTs are welcome to apply.
• Experience teaching History across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.

Responsibilities

• Deliver History lessons to KS3/KS4.
• Plan, assess and mark pupil work.
• Adapt lessons for varying abilities and maintain high behaviour standards.
• Contribute to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
