Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Network Training and Development Manager for Histopathology to lead education, training and competency across the Berkshire and Surrey pathology network. The role shapes the service's future direction and embeds long-term improvements.

You will work with operational leadership and transformation teams to implement a refreshed model, travel between trust sites, and ensure compliance with quality, governance and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Essential: MSc (preferably Biomedical Science) or equivalent.
• Essential: Registration with HCPC as a Biomedical Scientist.
• Desirable: Chartered Scientist status (CSci).
• Desirable: NVQ Assessor.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic development of education, training and competency frameworks across the network.
• Ensure workforce development plans support service demands and regulatory standards including UKAS.
• Establish sustainable training pipelines and succession plans to deliver high-quality patient care.
