Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Stores/Stock Handler in the Histopathology Department based at the Colney Lane site. You will clean, prepare and stock glassware and laboratory items, maintain the Storeroom and stock control systems, and support the distribution of laboratory goods to users.

The role involves receiving, sorting and labeling clinic specimens, data entry into the laboratory information system, and assisting with ordering and waste

Qualifications

• Experience with stores management in a laboratory setting.
• Ability to receive, sort and label clinic specimens.
• Data entry into laboratory information systems.
• Willingness to undertake mandatory and in-service training.

Responsibilities

• Clean/prepare glassware and reagents and maintain stocks.
• Transfer laboratory waste according to policies.
• Maintain Storeroom organisation and stock control.
• Assist with ordering and issue of laboratory goods.
• Receive/sort/label specimens and enter data into the system.
