Fuel Storage Solutions Limited is seeking a site-based engineer to manage maintenance, conduct fault reporting, and support the safe handling of fuels on site. The role requires a full clean driving licence, mechanical or electrical engineering background, and familiarity with pipework installations.

You will work both independently and within a team, mentoring juniors and contributing to cost-effective project outcomes.

Formación

• Full clean driving licence is required.
• Familiarity with pipework installations and repair.
• Competent in working to RAMS (risk assessments).
• Experience with fuel handling and fuel dispensing pumps is preferred.
• Desirable civils and electrics knowledge; CSCS and OFTEC qualifications provided.

Responsabilidades

• Drive to and work at site premises, ensuring accurate site hours on arrival and departure.
• Maintain company equipment and tools, report faults promptly, and assist in warehouse upkeep.
• Ensure safe disposal of hazardous waste with proper paperwork.
• Monitor engineering expenditure per guidelines and drive cost-efficiency.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to junior engineers; undertake required training.
• Work independently and in teams; identify commercial opportunities and stay deadline-driven.

• Keep all company equipment and tools in good condition and working order, including vehicles. Report any equipment faults in a timely manner and adhere to regular vehicle tooling audits and vehicle maintenance checks. Assist in the maintenance of the warehouse. Adhere to the safe disposal of hazardous waste in assigned areas, ensuring all legislative paperwork is completed. Be accountable for engineering expenditure by following company guidelines for driving fines, accommodation, and expenses, taking a cost-effective and reasonable approach. Undertake any training required by FSS. Provide respectful coaching and mentoring to less senior members of the engineering team.Full clean driving license. Mechanical or electrical engineering experience. Familiarity with pipework installations and repair. Competent working to RAMS. Can work independently and within a team.
