Qualifications

  • Experience in the hire industry, or a similar sales or operational environment.
  • A full driving licence is required.

Hire Desk Controller

Location: Depot-based- Stoke on Trent
ST6 5FD

We're now looking for a positive, customer‑focused Hire Desk Controller to join our team. If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems and keeping things running smoothly, this could be the perfect opportunity to become a key part of our front‑line customer service operation.

About the Role

As a Hire Desk Controller, you'll be at the heart of the depot, coordinating the entire hire process from start to finish. This role is all about communication, teamwork and making sure customers have everything they need, exactly when they need it.

On a typical day, you'll:

  • Manage customer enquiries and orders with warmth and professionalism
  • Build strong relationships with customers, drivers, engineers and colleagues across the depot
  • Liaise with stock teams to ensure equipment is available and ready to go
  • Coordinate timely deliveries and collections with minimal delays
  • Provide a smooth, friendly and efficient service throughout the whole hire journey
  • Play a vital role in achieving high customer satisfaction levels
  • Support your team in delivering our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver
