Qualifications

• Experience in highways development control, ideally within a consultancy or private developer environment.
• Familiarity with Section 38 / Section 278 processes and associated negotiations.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to attend client and site meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide highways and transport advice to private sector clients.
• Review and assess design drawings for projects.
• Prepare and submit Transport Assessments as part of the planning process.
• Negotiate directly with highway authorities for approvals.

Skills

Strong understanding of UK highway design standards

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Strong report-writing ability

Proficient in AutoCAD

Education

Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering, Transportation, or related discipline
