Job summary

National Highways in the UK is seeking an experienced construction professional to oversee highway maintenance projects on trunk roads and motorways, ensuring compliance with CDM, HSE, Environmental legislation and Chapter 8.

You will coordinate the delivery programme with supply chain partners, provide regular feedback on scheme progress and risks, and act as the initial escalation point for on-site issues, ensuring buildability reviews are carried out.

Qualifications

• Proven highway/structures and maintenance/construction experience, including high-speed trunk road/motorway networks.
• Ability to work independently yet collaborate effectively within a team.
• Computer literacy with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Ensure planned works meet agreed standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide regular feedback to Project Managers on scheme construction progress, risks and early warnings.
• Coordinate the delivery programme with supply chain partners and conduct buildability reviews.
• Represent National Highways interests on construction/maintenance sites and escalate on-site issues.
