Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering local and/or major highways projects or adjacent markets (water, aviation or rail).
  • Knowledge of DMRB, MCHW or international design standards.

  • Ability to work independently within a global multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical excellence, innovation, and safety across a wide range of transportation projects.
  • Take ownership of key design deliverables, identify opportunities for automation and process efficiencies, and ensure scope changes are escalated appropriately to maintain programme and budget integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with discipline leads and project stakeholders to produce high‑quality outcomes.
  • Mentor and support less experienced team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Design experience in transportation and the built environment.
  • Relevant professional qualification or a degree in engineering, with CEng/IEng or equivalent credentials.
  • Technical experience delivering local and/or major highways projects or land‑side alignment elements in adjacent markets such as water, aviation or rail.
  • Thorough understanding of commonly used design standards such as Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW) or international equivalents.
  • Sound knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and a passion for fostering safety and wellbeing.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a global multi‑disciplinary team.
