Bennett & Game Recruitment Limited is assisting a well-established civil engineering contractor in recruiting a Section Engineer for highways projects around the Guildford area, with regional travel across Hampshire and Oxford. The role involves day and night shifts and leading setting-out teams on carriageways, drainage, and structures.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of setting-out experience on infrastructure projects, strong GPS/Total Station skills, and a good grasp of QA/ITP

Qualifications

• Setting out highways works with GPS/Total Station methods.
• Experience on highway infrastructure with main contractor is desirable.
• Strong reading of construction drawings and QA/ITP processes.

Responsibilities

• Set out highways works using GPS/Total Station and traditional methods.
• Review drawings and raise technical queries.
• Support delivery of schemes across carriageways, drainage and surfacing.
• Carry out inspections and testing to ensure works meet design and spec.
• Manage QA documentation, ITPs and site records.
• Assist site teams and subcontractors to deliver safely and efficiently.
