Job summary

Pulse Personnel Ltd t/a Paramount Personnel is recruiting a Highways Operative for the Bideford area. You will perform excavation, kerb and slab laying, and drainage installations on-site, following site requirements and safety guidelines.

The role is temporary, full-time, with hours 07:15 to 16:00, Monday to Friday, and requires a CSCS card and Class 2 HGV licence, plus reliable timekeeping and teamwork. Pay ranges from £13.00 to £13.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic devices and on-site tools.
• Ability to work as part of a team to complete tasks.
• Good knowledge of the local area and sites.
• Capable of carrying out work to a high standard.
• Good communication skills for site coordination.
• Reasonable knowledge of basic machine maintenance.

Responsibilities

Our client requires Highways Operatives in the Bideford area to carry out tasks such as excavation works, laying and levelling of kerbs, slabs and bitumen macadam, drainage and gully installations.

Requirements

• Experience / knowledge required in using electronic devices
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Good knowledge of the respective area they have been employed to work.
• Ability to carry out work to a high standard.
• Good communication skills
• Reasonable knowledge of machine maintenance

Applicants must have:

• CSCS card
• Class 2 HGV licence
• Good timekeeping skills

Hours of work

Monday to Friday 07.15 a.m. – 16.00 p.m.

Rate of Pay

£13.00-£13.50 per hour depending upon experience.
