Job summary

E.ON UK Ltd in Sleaford is seeking a Highways Lighting Commercial Engineer to drive street lighting projects from quotation to delivery, ensuring efficiency, quality and client value. You will manage procurement, track project finances and secure competitive pricing while maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

The role requires strong customer-facing communication, highway electrical experience, and a proven ability to win and manage key relationships.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication with a strong customer-facing approach.
• Certification in electrical wiring regulations with extensive highway electrical works experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic accounting to track financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Pricing customer works, issuing quotes, and follow-up with competitive information.
• Manage major customer relationships and negotiate win-win deals.
• Ensure project delivery is well-managed, with financial tracking and procurement alignment.
• Act as escalation point for customer complaints per company policy.
• Lead continuous improvement and develop high-performing teams.
• Own safety, health, welfare and environmental responsibilities for the work.
• Close invoicing on time and manage debt chasing at depot level.
