The Traffic Engineering Team is responsible for developing and delivering highway safety and traffic management solutions across Calderdale. Our work ranges from highway improvement and sustainable transport projects to public realm schemes and developer-funded highway works. As part of the team, you'll contribute to the delivery of projects funded through the City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS) programme (and its replacement), as well as a growing portfolio of highway and infrastructure projects. You will be delivering highway design schemes; public realm works and progressing S278 checking. Work would include preparing suitable design solutions for highway safety and improvement schemes, ensuring that the Council complies with the requirements of current legislation, including work programming, estimating, supervision and reporting on scheme progress.
