What you’ll be doing

As a Highways Contracts Manager, you’ll oversee a portfolio of projects from pre‑contract through to delivery, ensuring that safety, quality, environmental, and financial targets are consistently achieved. You will:

• Manage multiple highways and structures projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Lead pre‑contract planning and coordination with estimators to ensure accurate costings and resourcing.
• Prepare and oversee contract plans, safety plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Provide input at regional management and planning meetings, influencing key decisions.
• Implement company SHEQ policies and drive compliance across all project teams.
• Maintain and update the CRM and SLIDS databases with relevant contractual information.
• Oversee accurate record keeping, reporting, and archiving of all project documentation.

To succeed as a Highways Contracts Manager, you’ll need:

• Proven experience managing multiple construction sites in a similar role.
• Strong experience in highways bridge maintenance and concrete repair projects.
• A solid background in highways structures and infrastructure delivery.
• Strong planning, programming, and financial management skills.

• Competence in Microsoft Office and modern project management tools.
