Matchtech Group is seeking a Highway Safety Inspector on a temporary contract for a local authority. The role covers inspections across the local highway network, with a company van supplied for on-site inspections and travel between locations.

The position requires experience in highway inspection, safe working practices, and strong record-keeping. Immediate start and at least three months’ duration are offered.

• Full driving licence and confidence using a company van.

Responsibilities

Our client, a local authority within the highways sector, is seeking a Highway Safety Inspector for a temporary contract of at least three months. The role is available to start as soon as possible and will provide essential cover during a period of staff absence. A company van will be provided for carrying out inspections across the local highway network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out highway safety inspections in line with relevant standards and procedures

• Assessing risks and recommending appropriate remedial action
