Overview

A vacancy at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a highly specialist (Band 7) Speech and Language Therapist or an experienced senior (Band 6) ready for the next step to work with Community Paediatrics. The post is based in the Community Paediatric Team at St Catherine's Health Centre, Birkenhead.

You will have a Speech and Language degree qualification and be registered with the HCPC and ideally be a member of RCSLT.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, develop and deliver highly specialised care to children referred to Community Paediatrics on the Neuro Development pathway, working alongside a team of clinicians.
  • Collaborate within a strong multidisciplinary team (MDT) and contribute to clinical decisions and care planning.
  • Provide clinical and managerial supervision on a regular basis.
  • Participate in annual appraisals and engage with internal and external training relevant to the role.

  • Opportunities to learn from highly experienced MDT members.

  • As this vacancy is within the division of Women’s and Children’s, there is a mandatory requirement to join the DBS update service. The cost is £16 per year, and applicants are responsible for this cost with no reimbursement from the Trust. Details on how to join will be provided on appointment.
