A healthcare organization in the UK is seeking a professional experienced in working with adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders. The role involves supervising newly qualified staff, providing high-quality patient care, and participating in service development. A commitment to teamwork and ongoing development is essential for success in this supportive environment.
To deliver in this role, you will have significant experience in working with adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders. You will also have experience of operational management duties including supervision of newly qualified speech and language therapists, students as well as assistants. Leadership and management experience and skills are desirable however training in all these areas can be provided to achieve these competencies. Skills in videofluoroscopy assessment and FEES are desirable. We are looking for a team member who is a team player with a 'can do' approach and dedicated to providing high quality care to patients as well as committed to their own development. We have a strong focus on service and clinical development and all our team members are supported to upskill in order to develop specialist roles. We are a well-established, supportive and friendly team with staff wellbeing at the forefront of team development. This is achieved through a strong pastoral care approach to management. As part of the service, you will benefit from peer support and clinical supervision within the wider inpatient team.
