Highly Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist - Cystic Fibrosis

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at one of the UK's largest NHS Trusts. We are looking for a Band 7 who is ready for new challenges or an experienced Band 6 who is seeking promotional opportunities to join our team.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated, innovative, passionate, skilled and motivated clinician with experience of working within a Cystic Fibrosis and Non-CF Bronchiectasis patient population. They will have excellent verbal & written communication skills, with empathy and compassion at the heart of the care that they provide within the framework of our multi-disciplinary team. The role will be split between inpatient & outpatient working whilst supporting a team of physiotherapists with the other band 7s.

Main duties of the job

We are excited to be advertising for the role of Highly Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist at St Bartholomew's hospital. Clinically the post holder will support and manage Physiotherapists and an exercise physiologist within the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) service and work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. Their clinical work will support their team to deliver diagnostic and clinical care to CF and Bronchiectasis patients, providing expert advice on complex clinical issues.

We are looking for an experienced and innovative clinician to undertake a highly specialist team leader role alongside the clinical lead in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the inpatient and outpatient CF and Bronchiectasis Physiotherapy service on a day-to-day basis.

You will provide Physiotherapy to both Inpatients and Outpatient clinics and support the home review program for patients with CF on home intravenous antibiotic therapy or requiring outreach care

You will take a lead role in the advanced assessment and treatment of patients within the specialty as an autonomous practitioner. You will work alongside two other band 7 physiotherapists and be responsible for the supervision of junior team members and co-ordination of the daily allocation of workloads within the CF physiotherapy team.
