Job description
Overview

We are advertising the role of Highly Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist at St Bartholomew's Hospital. The post holder supports and manages a multidisciplinary CF and Bronchiectasis physiotherapy team, delivering diagnostic and clinical care to patients and providing expert advice on complex clinical issues.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the inpatient and outpatient CF/Bronchiectasis physiotherapy service, planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating care.
  • Provide physiotherapy to inpatients, outpatient clinics and home review program for patients on intravenous antibiotic therapy or requiring outreach care.
  • Autonomous assessment and treatment of patients within the specialty, working alongside two other band 7 physiotherapists.
  • Supervise junior team members and coordinate the daily allocation of workloads within the CF physiotherapy team.
  • Collate and review clinical data, contributing to service improvement and quality initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Band 7 physiotherapist experience or Band 6 physiotherapist seeking promotion with a track record in CF and/or Bronchiectasis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with empathy and compassion as a core value.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong clinical decision‑making ability and independent practice within the band scope.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working within a multi‑disciplinary team.
