A leading healthcare provider in Manchester is seeking a Highly Specialist Pharmacist to deliver high-quality, patient-focused clinical pharmacy services within rheumatology and gastroenterology. The successful candidate will lead and support the development of staff while ensuring effective use of medicines. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong clinical background, with a competitive salary range of £55,690 to £62,682 annually for a fixed-term contract.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Pharmacist to join the rheumatology and gastroenterology team at MFT, based at North Manchester General Hospital. You will deliver a high‑quality, patient focused, clinical pharmacy service to inpatient and outpatient rheumatology and gastroenterology service users.
Deliver a high quality patient focused clinical pharmacy service for rheumatology and gastroenterology and establish effective relationships with clinical staff and other stakeholders delivering inpatient and outpatient care to service users.
Promote the responsible, safe, clinically‑effective and cost‑effective use of medicines within the rheumatology and gastroenterology specialties.
Support education and development of medical, nursing and pharmacy staff in your role as Highly Specialist Pharmacist.
Further develop leadership and management capabilities within the Pharmacy department and, as a senior member of the Pharmacy Team, deputise for the Lead Pharmacist as necessary.
Enthusiasm for these specialties and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, enabling effective collaboration within a team and management of individual workload. Leadership, motivation, influence and stakeholder engagement are essential.
