Job description
Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a family‑centred and enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our friendly and well established children’s community physiotherapy team on a 1 year fixed term contract. The role involves working in a multi‑cultural environment, supporting a varied caseload of children in special needs schools, mainstream schools, nurseries and home visits, and participating in specialist clinics and hydrotherapy.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialised physiotherapeutic intervention to children across Barts Health NHS Trust.
  • Use highly developed skills in assessment and treatment for patients with a wide variety of conditions and diverse presentations.
  • Provide treatment in a range of settings, including clinics, patient’s homes and schools.
  • Work autonomously while adhering to clinical governance and evidence‑based practice.
  • Participate in teaching programmes, ensuring clinical effectiveness, and contribute to research and service development.
  • Provide supervision for Band 6 and Band 4 staff and clinical education of physiotherapy students on placement.
  • Lead service developments on key areas with support from the Clinical Lead Therapist.
