Employment Type: Full-time, 8-hour shifts

Job Summary

A busy engineering company is seeking an experienced Procurement / Stock Controller to manage their stores. The role involves ensuring a constant supply of parts and materials, maintaining stock accuracy, and supporting manufacturing and installation programs.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier Management
  • Procure goods and services from new and existing suppliers
  • Negotiate prices and terms with manufacturing partners
  • Monitor supplier issues and provide alternatives
  • Liaise with other departments to implement solutions
  • Suggest process improvements
Stock Control & Administration
  • Daily administration of stores (booking in, stock identification, scanning delivery notes)
  • Add new parts to the stock system
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and investigate discrepancies
  • Liaise with engineering/manufacturing teams regarding minimum and maximum stock levels
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in stores/procurement within an engineering environment
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Strong IT skills
  • Willingness to learn about all aspects of manufacturing operations
Qualifications
  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
  • English language proficiency required
