Full Time HLTA at a School in M12 - Manchester. Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Full Time Hours. Location: M12. Contract: Full Time Long Term - January 2025 - July 2025. Start Date: January 2025. Year group: Year 2.

Overview

A vibrant and welcoming primary school in Manchester, M12 is looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team for a full time position. ECTs are encouraged to apply as the school offers a great training programme where you will be enrolled into a Teacher position if successful. So far this year 5 of our ECTs have worked as HLTA's and 4 have successfully stepped into a Teacher role or have been offered a Teacher role for next September.

Responsibilities
  • Support classroom learning, assisting with lesson delivery and providing tailored support for students.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement plans for students with additional needs, lead small group activities, and offer one-to-one support as required.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and assessment of students' progress and assist in maintaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Responsible for 20-40% of classroom teaching where required.
Requirements
  • Hold an HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Have experience working with children in a school environment.
  • ECTs are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Passion for helping children succeed academically and socially.
