Job Title: Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (Unqualified Teacher)
Location: Baston House School, Bromley, Kent BR2 7AB
Salary: £28,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am-4.30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Start: February 2026

As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers to deliver engaging, creative, and personalised learning experiences that meet the individual needs of our pupils. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
You will work flexibly across the school, including:
You will develop strong, positive relationships with pupils, encouraging engagement, interaction, and emotional regulation while supporting effective behaviour management strategies. A proactive, calm, and resilient approach is key to helping pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
You will also play an important role in maintaining a strong safeguarding culture, ensuring pupils’ wellbeing is always a priority.
