Job description

Location: Portsmouth 2-form Primary School

Position: Full-time, 5 days a week (Monday - Friday)

Qualifications: Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification or QTS qualification

Experience:

• Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Proven experience leading lessons and managing classrooms independently

Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Provide targeted support to pupils with SEND, ensuring their academic and emotional needs are met
• Lead lessons and manage classrooms effectively in the absence of the teacher
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive learning environment

Requirements:

• HLTA Qualification or QTS qualification
• Experience working with SEND pupils
• Ability to independently lead lessons and manage classrooms
• Availability to work Monday to Friday
