A dedicated educational organization in Wrenthorpe is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other emotional needs, helping them learn and build self-esteem. Responsibilities include adapting learning approaches for individuals with various challenges. You will work with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You will help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self‑esteem.

You will work with children who battle significant challenges, may have Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES), trauma and other complex needs. You will be their rock and a trauma‑informed practitioner, helping them feel safe, develop trusting relationships and learn. Some of our children have gaps in their education; you will adapt learning so that it is suitable for all to achieve. You will create a classroom environment where children feel safe.
