Are you an experienced and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) eager to make a meaningful impact in the classroom?

GSL Education are seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 4) to join a supportive and inclusive school in Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to support teachers, lead learning activities, and help pupils achieve their academic and personal potential.

As a HLTA (L4), you will:

  • Deliver structured lessons and learning activities under teacher guidance or independently.
  • Assist in planning, preparing, and adapting learning resources for the classroom.
  • Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and a nurturing classroom environment.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress to inform teaching strategies and interventions.

Requirements for the HLTA role:

  • Higher Level TA (Level 4) qualification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Previous experience working in a school environment, supporting learning and teaching.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, patient, and supportive approach to teaching and learning.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
