Higher level Teaching Assistant KS3 and 4 provision Unit

Start Date: November 2025

Contract: Long-term with the potential to become permanent

Salary: £82 £100 per day (Dependent on experience)

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30 - 4

Location: Lymington

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced HLTA to work at a Secondary School in the Lymington area. The individual will need to have experience working with students who have barriers to learning such as behavioural, SEMH or SEND.

You will be supporting secondary school students who find being in the mainstream classes tricky and need a lot of time patience and care to increase their self-belief and self-esteem. Alongside this, you will also have had experience of providing personalised resources and activities to meet individual needs.

This is a rewarding role which demands experience of planning, resourcing and delivering small group and/or 1:1 lessons to inspire and drive learning.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting those with additional needs including behaviour, social, emotional and Special Educational Needs
  • Providing 1:1 or small group plans and teaching
  • Build trusting and understanding relationships
  • Encouraging students to build independence, confidence, and resilience.
  • Supporting the smooth running of the provision unit and fostering a positive learning environment.
