Overview

We are looking for a proactive, confident, and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our hospital school team in Southwark and Bromley, supporting children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.

This is a full-time position working within a highly specialised and supportive environment, where your work will make a meaningful difference every day.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting teaching and learning within the primary classroom
  • Assisting across the wider school, including with adolescent students where necessary
  • Attending Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and other school meetings
  • Expected to manage high levels of administration (training will be provided on hospital systems)
  • Working collaboratively with clinicians, therapists, and teaching staff
Qualifications

A Psychology graduate or someone with a psychology background is highly desirable due to the nature of the setting. Candidates must be calm under pressure, flexible, and passionate about supporting young people’s wellbeing and educational outcomes.
