The Wulfruna Partnership are seeking to appoint an experienced, passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join Merridale Primary School’s team.

You will:

  • work closely with class teachers, support staff, and the school’s leadership team to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality learning across the primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1 and KS2)
  • provide feedback to class teachers
  • manage and direct support staff in the classes taught
  • provide planned and emergency cover across the school

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification
  • previous experience working in a primary school setting, particularly within EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective behaviour management strategies
  • experience of supporting pupils with SEND/EAL needs across different year groups
  • the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • excellent communication and organisational skills
  • a positive, proactive, and nurturing approach.
