Salary: £36,363 - £39,152, plus SEN & Secure Unit allowances.

About Barton Moss

Barton Moss is a twenty‑seven bed Secure Care Centre located in Eccles on the outskirts of Salford in Greater Manchester within easy reach of the M60 and wider motorway network.

We care for remanded and sentenced young males under the age of 18 years of age.

The centre has a proven track record of offering a very high standard of emotional, educational and physical care.

Our school offers a curriculum based on core and vocational subjects and seeks to ensure pupils receive externally accredited qualifications.

Our staff includes qualified teaching staff, Higher Level Teaching Assistants and Teaching Assistants.

Responsibilities

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor you will help to drive and support the educational attainment and progress of all learners within Barton Moss.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills.

Disability and Safeguarding

These posts are subject to a fully‑enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. You will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check (£49.50), which will be deducted from your first four months’ salary at a rate of £12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason after the DBS has been processed, you will be invoiced for £49.50.
