Job summary

Five Rivers in Orpington is seeking an HLTA to support teaching and learning across our provision. You will work with teachers and a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver engaging, personalised sessions for pupils.

No two days are the same, as you will support children who may face barriers to mainstream education with a flexible, therapeutic approach to learning. The role is school-based, with a 37.5-hour week, term time only, and a salary of £24,865–£27,021 per annum.

No two days are the same. You will support children and young people who may face barriers to mainstream education, requiring a flexible, creative, and therapeutic approach to learning. Your contribution will be vital in helping learners build confidence, re-engage with education, and achieve their individual potential.

Hours of Work
  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:30 – 16:30
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Term time only (in line with local authority academic dates)

  • Base location: Clannad School, Orpington
  • The role is primarily school-based
Salary
  • £24,865 – £27,021 per annum

What We’re Looking For

Experience in specialist or alternative education is advantageous, but we welcome candidates with transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
