A local education authority in Jarrow is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support primary education across two schools. Responsibilities include covering classes, delivering interventions, and promoting student wellbeing. Ideal candidates will have strong experience and a positive approach to education. This fixed-term role offers a supportive environment and the chance to make a significant impact on children's learning.
£28,598 whole time week paid 44.221 pro rata to term time only plus 5 days
Fixed Term contract until 31 August 2026 with the possibility of becoming permanent
Mosaic Federation is a partnership between Valley View Primary School and Hedworthfield Primary School in Jarrow. Both schools are one form entry primary schools with nursery provision. Hedworthfield has two specialist SEND units – one for speech and language difficulties and one for pupils with ASD. The schools work incredibly closely with each other to ensure the best use of resources, sharing of skills and developing opportunities for both staff and pupils to thrive.
Due to the split site appointment, visits to school are not available prior to interview. However, if selected for interview you will be invited to look around one school and interviews will be held in the other school with a tour as part of the interview process.
