TimePlan Education is seeking a confident and skilled HLTA to join a thriving secondary school in Rochdale. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with HLTA status who is ready to take on increased responsibility, including lesson delivery, small-group teaching and supporting teaching staff across the school.


Role Overview

As a secondary HLTA, you will play a key role in delivering planned lessons, leading targeted intervention groups and providing high-level classroom support. You may also cover classes in the teacher's absence, making this a great stepping stone toward future teaching training.


Key Responsibilities


  • Deliver lessons to KS3 and KS4 students using pre-prepared plans

  • Lead subject-specific or skill-based interventions

  • Support teachers with planning, differentiation and assessment

  • Work 1:1 with students who require additional academic or emotional support

  • Provide support across core subjects (English, Maths Science) and/or your specialism

  • Take responsibility for small-group or whole-class teaching

  • Use data to track pupil progress and adapt support accordingly


Essential Requirements


  • HLTA qualification or equivalent

  • Strong experience in a secondary school environment

  • Confident delivering lessons and leading whole-class learning

  • Excellent communication, organisation and behaviour management
