Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire
Contract Type: Permanent (32.5 hours per week, Term Time + 5 Teacher Training Days)
Salary: 20,855.00 - 22,250.00 (Pay rise for 2025/26 pending)
Start Date: ASAP

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated HLTA looking to make a real difference in children's lives?

Here at Academics we are seeking to appoint a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive team in Leighton Buzzard.

Working across Reception to Year 4, your role will include delivering targeted interventions, covering classes to release teachers for PPA, and providing short-term or unplanned absence cover. You will work closely with class teachers and play a key role in supporting pupils as they begin their learning journey.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is positive, flexible, and passionate about helping young children thrive
• Holds a Level 4 qualification related to teaching and learning (or is working towards a Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification)
• Has experience working in a school setting, ideally in a Higher Level Teaching Assistant capacity
• Understands how to adapt their practice to meet the needs of individual learners
• Works effectively as part of a team and is committed to high standards of teaching and learning
• Can commute to Leighton Buzzard
