CALLING ALL KS1 PRIMARY SCHOOL HLTA'S!

Are you a qualified primary school HLTA ready to make a real impact? We're recruiting dynamic educators to bring experience, skill, and professionalism to primary schools across Hinckley, Leicestershire.

Responsibilities
  • Professional Development and Collaboration
    • Liaising with parents, teachers, and other professionals (e.g., SENCOs, therapists).
    • Attending staff meetings and training sessions.
    • Acting as a role model for other TAs and sometimes mentoring junior support staff.
  • Classroom Management
    • Supervising a class during short-term teacher absence or while the teacher is working with another group.
    • Managing pupil behaviour in line with school policy.
    • Creating a positive, supportive learning environment.
  • Pastoral Support
    • Providing emotional support and encouragement to pupils.
    • Promoting inclusion and positive behaviour.
    • Supporting pupils with personal, social, or emotional challenges.
All applicants must have
  • HLTA qualification (essential).
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • A minimum of 2 years' UK HLTA experience.
  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge, as well as safeguarding training (we can provide training).
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • References covering the last two years of employment.
